Propane Capacity Check

Privacy Policy · Effective October 21, 2026

What this policy covers

This policy describes how the Propane Capacity Check iOS app and website handle information. Neither requires an account.

Information kept on your device

Tank capacities, gauge readings, truck-load inputs, saved site names and addresses, site notes, and calculation history are stored locally on your device. In the iOS app, site access codes are stored in Apple’s Keychain. This local information is not synced to the developer or to other users. You can use the calculator without submitting information.

Feedback you choose to send

If you submit feedback in the app, the feedback category and message, along with an optional email address you provide, are sent through Netlify Forms so they can be delivered to the developer. Do not include tank access codes, passwords, or other sensitive information in feedback. Netlify may process technical information needed to operate and protect its form service under its own privacy policy.

Delivery observations you choose to share

If you choose “Share delivery observations,” the app sends generic tank numbers, water capacities, starting and ending gauge readings, the first tank in the pipeline if you identify it, and your consent to share. It does not send tank labels, customer or site names, addresses, access codes, email addresses, or account identifiers. The observations are submitted through Netlify Forms and may be reviewed to study whether pipeline order improves approximate projections. They do not change your calculation automatically. Netlify may process technical information, such as an IP address, to operate and protect its form service. Sharing is optional and requires your affirmative consent each time.

Optional usage analytics

If you turn on “Share anonymous usage analytics,” the app sends broad event names (app opened, tank added, check saved, site saved, or site loaded), the platform, and app version through Netlify Forms. It does not send tank readings, customer or site details, account identifiers, or a device identifier. Netlify may process technical request information, such as an IP address, to operate and protect the form service. Analytics are off by default; you can turn them off at any time in Safety & Help in the iOS app or on the calculator page. When offline, usage events are not sent.

Purchases

Optional Pro Driver purchases are handled by Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. The developer does not receive your payment card details. Apple’s handling of purchase information is described in Apple’s privacy policy.

External links

The app can open an externally hosted propane Safety Data Sheet. When you follow that link, the external provider’s privacy practices apply. The app does not include advertising, does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and sends usage analytics only if you opt in.

Your choices and contact

You can use the calculator without sending feedback, delivery observations, or usage analytics. For questions about this policy or to request deletion of a submission, contact tneed20@gmail.com.
